Xiaomi RedMi Note 3 is
one of the most awesome phone in budget range. As Xiomi added lot of securities
in there UI, hence rooting is not that easy as other phone. You need to ask
permission for unlock bootloader, Once they will allow than after you can root
your phone. But in this tutorial I’m explaining a method, so that you can root
you phone easily and without asking permissions.
Step by Step Guide to Root RedMi Note 3:
Step 1: Download the ZIP file
(Click here to Download) and Extract it.
Step 2: Now disable driver
signature enforcement. For that go to start menu and type CMD, right click on
it and run as administrative. Copy this command and paste it (bcdedit /set
testsigning on), Hit enter and restart the PC.
Step 3: Go to RN3Root folder
and double click on MiPhone.exe and install it.
Step 4: Now take your phone
and go to setting>about phone> tap on MIUI version 7 times. Now go to
additional setting->Developers option. In developers option turn on OEM
unlock and USB debugging.
Step 5: Now power off your
phone and press volume down key along with power key. Your phone will boot into
bootloader, now connect your phone to computer with USB.
Step 6: Now goto RN3Root
folder, go to boot edl mode folder and double click on "edl" file.
Phone will boot into edl mode.
Step 7: Launch the MI flash
tool that you installed. Go to browse, goto RN3Root -> kenzo folder ->
select images folder and click on OK.
Step 8: Go to advance options
(click on down arrow on browse button). Browse fastboot script to flash all. Now
configure the flash programmer, Raw xml file and patch xml file. All files are
inside the kenzos folder.
Step 9: Go back. Click on
refresh and click on flash. It might take 5 to 10 minutes.
Step 10: After that, do not
disconnect the data cable and press volume down and power key together. It will
boot your phone to fastboot mode again.
Step 11: Go to unlock folder
and double click on unlock bootloader file. You device will reboot, Now setup
your device and connect to PC. There is Update superSU.Zip file, copy that to
internal storage of your mobile.
Step 12: Power off the phone
and boot into fastboot mode again by pressing volume down and power key.
Connect your phone to PC.
Step 13: Go to Flash twrp folder
and double click on flash twrp file. It will flash TWRP recovery on your phone.
Your phone will boot into TWRP recovery automatically. Now you need to change
the language, so follow the images below.
Step 14: Now tap on Install and locate the ‘SuperSu
Zip’ file, select it and swipe to flash. Now reboot your phone.
That’s it about rooting, Your RedMi Note 3 is rooted
successfully. Now you can flash any custom ROM, like CM13, CM 14 based on
Android 7.0 Nougat etc.
